Jellyfish Rain

You wake up in a quiet motel room. The sun is streaming through the window, casting a warm glow on the cluttered room. As you step outside, you notice the street is empty, the usual chatter of seagulls replaced by an unsettling silence. Looking up, you see large, translucent jellyfish tumbling down from the cloudless sky, landing with soft thumps on the weathered streets and rooftops.
